EAST JORDAN, Mich. – As of May 13, 2022, Alhambra Foundry Company Ltd. has made a strategic decision to exit the foundry business and, accordingly, divest their proprietary line of municipal castings and fabricated steel products.
Global infrastructure access solutions provider EJ has acquired certain assets of Alhambra Foundry Company Ltd., located in Alhambra, California. These assets include the Alhambra brand, customer lists, inventory, and patterns. EJ will transition the manufacture of its core product lines to their manufacturing locations and maintain supply to their customer base in the California market. In addition, EJ is pleased to announce a new California sales and distribution facility located in San Bernardino, California (287 W Orange Show Lane, San Bernardino, CA 92408).
Alhambra Foundry Company Ltd., founded in 1923, is a metalwork-castings and fabrications facility that produced custom and standard products to the construction industry. EJ continues to be 100% owned by descendants of William E. Malpass, and members of the family continue to be active in managing the business.
