Overview Costain had a requirement for SR4 security covers on the new return liquors pumping station chambers. These chambers had various sized access points that needed a cover to protect the equipment below.
Costain required multiple LPS1175 LPCB SR4 hinged & assisted FF (Flush Fit) covers with fall protection. The covers were installed within a small area so the initial project survey was critical to ensure size and orientation. Due to the large depth of the rebate, cover levelling had to be undertaken using a levelling system in preparation for Costain's grouting process. Installation was safely carried out over 2 days using the approved framework suppliers for crane and access equipment.
