Overview

Dundee City Council began the £1billion transformation of the Waterfront, which encompassed 240 hectares of development land stretching 8km alongside the River Tay, was a strategic, focussed and forward looking 30-year project that propelled the city to international acclaim.

Project Summary

EJ designed and fabricated an innovative steel access solution for the ICC Wales convention centre, consisting of a 640 m continuous duct run of PS1000 covers, allowing access to the underfloor utility ducts routed throughout the convention centre. These duct runs include a range of 90° turns and T-junctions to suit the floor layout, which was expertly designed by our in-house design team in SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
The covers were designed to accept carpet finish to create a sleek, aesthetically-pleasing solution, running flush with the floor. The covers allow for easy access to the underfloor utility ducts thanks to the EJ lock and lift mechanism, which allows for both the quick removal of the covers and ensures security and safety.
