ICC Wales, inspired by the world's best convention centres, is a stunning venue specifically designed for world class conventions. The venue totals 26,000 square metres, caters for over 5,000 delegate and offers 2,000 on site car parking spaces. All this is just a stones throw from the M4.

Project Summary

EJ designed and fabricated an innovative steel access solution for the ICC Wales convention centre, consisting of a 640 m continuous duct run of PS1000 covers, allowing access to the underfloor utility ducts routed throughout the convention centre. These duct runs include a range of 90° turns and T-junctions to suit the floor layout, which was expertly designed by our in-house design team in SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
The covers were designed to accept carpet finish to create a sleek, aesthetically-pleasing solution, running flush with the floor. The covers allow for easy access to the underfloor utility ducts thanks to the EJ lock and lift mechanism, which allows for both the quick removal of the covers and ensures security and safety.
