Overview
Eight2O / Trant were looking to increase the chamber height by approx. 900 mm to allow operatives to stand inside the existing buried chamber without the risk of injury enabling safer working practices.
Project Summary
The requirement was for two new internal ladders combined with access points to SR3 security installed on top of a multiple upstanding cover.
EJ designed a multiple cover to suit the chamber made up of drop in padlockable sections. Eight2O / Trant requested two access points on top of the chamber. EJ provided 2 new ladder systems complete with hinged assisted covers and fall protection.
Installation was safely carried out over a three week period under full traffic management and restricted working hours.
